basojoma TripAdvisor review
We booked a 2 bedroom apartment on the lake. We were very happy with the room. We enjoyed all the activities and had a go at everything apart from the pool. The golf course is excellent for families and kids learning to play golf. We hired bikes on one day. Myself, hubby and the teenage boys had not ridden a bike for years. We really enjoyed this too and the staff were so helpful at the activity centre. However, just as we were riding off, the segway lady who runs the segway tours who had an accent was quite rude to my kids. They were waiting to join the road with us on our bikes as a car was coming down the road. She rudely told my kids not to take up the whole road. Could she not see we were on hired biked and had just gotten them? We were separated on either side of the road area about to join the main road to heard towards the lake near the cafe when this happened. We were not moving on the bikes but waiting to join the road when it was safe to do so. My youngest was so unsure already on riding a bike and her comment was so unnecessary. She had plenty of room to do what she needed to do and we were all pulled over to either side of the roadway area. No one was prohibiting her nor did we get in her way. Shame she was not there to witness him fall off the bike 5 minutes later, she might have rethought her nasty uncalled for comment. We saw her again the next couple of days when we were playing golf and she rudely glared at us again for no reason ( I guessed she remembered us). This staff member needs to learn manners and how to be nice to customers. We decided not to do the segway tour because of her rudeness. All other staff we encountered were very nice and super helpful. The bushwalks were great and the disc golf was fun too. Breakfast was excellent, the facilities were fun and we got out of it what we needed. a restful holiday to reconnect with one anther. Our only comments to improve it is, get people to sign out the tennis balls and racquets and sign them back in. We found people were keeping the racquets in their rooms for long periods and not handing them back in. This was frustrating for us and so often no one was on the courts and there were no racquets to use. Also the day trippers who paid money to stay, took over the canoes, courts and facilities alot too. It was at times hard to get equipment when we had paid to stay their. At times we watched and wondered if people had actually paid the fee to use the gear. Totally understand you need to make money but perhaps make them wear a wrist band for the day and give us who are staying there something like this too. Just an idea to ensure paid and staying guests can use the facilities more efficiently. Don't want to dwell on the negatives, so moving on to more positives. We cooked most nights in our apartment so do a shop and bring your own food to save time and money. It was such an overall fantastic time for us all to read a book, do some exercise or just enjoy time together away from the city life we are stuck in right now. :) We would recommend it and hope to return again one day.

For a very special occasion we thought we’d splurge on what we considered to be top of the line, and have to say although a stunning location very disappointed with a tired venue with lots of problems and as a result spent most of the time away from the venue.

Second time staying at LCR this year We have stayed 4 times in the past years and each time we are in a new studio. Little Thredbo Lane, Bullocks Drive and recently Stockwhip Way Stockwhip was the best. Furniture modern and not in need of a facelift. Chalet was fairly new, beautiful appliances, jet tub in the bathroom, heated floors, separate garage and drying room (not shared with the main chalet) Wood fireplace. Amazing view (not of the main range) but of the roos, deer and bunnies! Each morning we had roos out the back of our room. The decor in the room was beautiful and included wifi! (Very uncommon at LCR) As it is Spring, Cuisine dinner dining was closed but Alpine Larder was open. I have to complain about the breakfast hash browns!! Stop using potato scallops (or potato cakes) just use good ol deep fried hash browns. The staff aren't as friendly in the hospitality areas but reception and the spa (and Harrows!) are very welcoming and lovely. Always recommend LCR as the convenience of the skitube is the best
Thank you rieltravels for your 5 star review and honest feedback of Lake Crackenback Resort and Spa. We appreciate it! The Team at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa

We want to express our deepest disappointment on staying in the resort . Our 2 bedroom villa 30 required renovation many years ago . It looks like cheap old motel but luxury resort. Pictures on the website are completely deceptive . This particular villa is very old, unattractive and smelly. The kitchen was terrible equipped, very old and lack of many important things, no dishwasher, no recycling bin ! TV was small , nothing to watch except public channels, no music system. There weren't racks to dry skiing equipment. The tab in the bathroom looked like 50 years old - absolutely ugly , the shower looks the same . There was constant noise from boiler in bedrooms . The pillows, blankets , beds are cheap, very old , worn and uncomfortable. All furniture were absolutely worn and unpleasant. I mean literally everything was a complete disaster expect the beautiful view from the window.
Hi K2271VRtinat, Thank you for feedback. We are disappointed to hear that your experience was not a positive one. We do hope you contacted reception at the beginning of your stay so that they could try and rectify the situation for you. We never want our guests to leave not enjoying their experience at the Resort. Thank you The Team at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa

Amazing place to stay! We would highly recommend! We stayed in a Lakeview Apartment which could not have been more perfect! Wood fire loaded and ready to light when we got in and kitchen had everything we could need including a coffee machine! Breakfast at the buffet was sensational and dinner at the wedding we attended at the Larder was perfect. The most amazing food ever for a wedding!
Thank you leetQ6930ZN for your 5 star rating. We loved hearing about your stay and knowing those little details like having the fire ready to light added to your stay. Thanks for coming to visit us.
